Andrea Cortese (1889–1954) was an Italian violin maker born in Genoa, Italy. Largely self-taught and influenced by Cesare Candi, he became known for finely crafted instruments inspired by Stradivari and Pressenda models. His work received awards in Cremona (1949) and Rome (1952) and remains appreciated by musicians and collectors worldwide.


Our collection includes a remarkably fine viola by Andrea Cortese, measuring 43 cm, preserved in excellent condition and beautiful sound.
