Louis Morizot Frères was one of the most respected French family workshops of the 20th century, established in Mirecourt by the five sons of the distinguished bow maker Louis Joseph Morizot (1874–1957).

This particular cello bow formerly belonged to famous cellist Antonio Meneses. Its provenance adds exceptional historical and artistic significance to this bow.
