Pietro Sgarabotto (1903–1990) was one of the most distinguished Italian violin makers of the 20th century, born in Vicenza, Italy, and later active in Parma. A leading representative of the great Italian violin-making tradition, he became renowned for exceptional craftsmanship, refined tonal qualities, and his influence as a teacher, training several important makers of the next generation.
